Wingbits Q2 2025 Log: Soaring to New Heights
Wingbits
July 8, ‘25

Q2 2025 has been a transformative quarter for Wingbits, marked by unprecedented growth across every dimension of our platform. We've expanded our global footprint, strengthened strategic partnerships, and most importantly, witnessed our community flourish into a truly worldwide movement.
From breaking the 4,000 live station milestone to forging groundbreaking partnerships that are reshaping the future of decentralized infrastructure, this quarter has set the stage for what promises to be an extraordinary rest of 2025.
Explosive Growth Metrics
The numbers speak for themselves.
In Q2, Wingbits surpassed 4,000 live stations globally, with our trajectory pointing toward 7,500 stations in the near future based on current hardware sales and hex location reservations. Right now, we are onboarding 30 stations daily – a record high! This expansion has enabled us to establish a presence in over 100 countries, creating a truly global network that tracks more than 150,000 flights daily.
Our data volume also surged dramatically – rising from 464.5 billion data points in Q1 to 865.9 billion by the end of Q2, marking an 86.4% increase in just one quarter. Alongside this, during periods of peak global air traffic, the Wingbits network tracks over 15,000 aircraft simultaneously – an impressive feat made possible by just 4,000 active receivers.

Our digital community has reached new heights as well. Across Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube to TikTok and our buzzing Discord server, we’ve now built a social network of over 95,000 engaged members – and counting.
This growing online community represents the heart of our ecosystem, comprising dedicated contributors, DePIN enthusiasts, and Web3 innovators who share our vision of democratizing flight tracking infrastructure. It’s this collective energy that fuels our momentum, and why Wingbits is now expanding 6x faster than any other flight tracking network in history.

Strategic Partnerships Driving Innovation
This quarter saw the formation of strategic partnerships that harness the power of decentralized infrastructure in a collaborative way. Our partnership with DeCharge represents a convergence of DePIN tech, combining real-time flight and drone tracking with blockchain-powered EV charging solutions.
This collaboration can enable new cutting-edge applications including autonomous drone recharging, dynamic pricing mechanisms for high-demand locations, and intelligent hardware deployment strategies across the globe. By enabling machine-to-machine (M2M) interactions, we're not just tracking flights – we're helping to build a foundation for autonomous aerial commerce.
We believe the true strength of DePIN lies in a shared mission: empowering the community. As we all build toward a common vision, meaningful partnerships and collaborative breakthroughs are inevitable. The momentum is building, and we’re just getting started.
Community at the Center: Global Events and Engagement
Community building has been our cornerstone focus this year, and Q2 was dedicated to meeting contributors face-to-face across the globe. Our presence at major industry events has strengthened bonds and showcased the real-world impact of our technology on local levels.

Wingbits x Spexi x GEODNET: Geospatial Depin Showcase, Dubai, 2025
Token2049 Dubai marked a significant milestone, where our Hardware Lead Aaron Shaw demoed the HYFIX devices that power our network, connecting directly with contributors and fellow builders in the space. The highlight was our showcase event with GEODNET and Spexi Network, featuring live demonstrations of how global flight tracking, real-time drone imaging, and hyper-accurate GPS positioning are revolutionizing our understanding of airspace. Our co-founder Robin Wingårdh shared insights into the real-world value proposition of geospatial DePIN infrastructure.
In early June we attended the Solana APAC Summit in Vietnam to build awareness and grow our community in the APAC region, where device adoption is accelerating rapidly. Our Head of Marketing, Savannah Lee, participated in the SEADePIN panel discussion titled "Real-World Data is the New Oil – DePIN is the Pipeline," later joining the House of DePIN for hands-on demonstrations of our plug-and-play devices.
Our journey continued at Consensus 2025 in Toronto, where CEO Robin Wingårdh joined Spexi’s Bill Lakeland and industry expert Ben Schiller on stage to explore what it truly means to build sustainable businesses in Web3. The momentum carried through to Solana Accelerate in NYC, allowing us to explore and connect with the broader ecosystem.
As Wingbits continues to grow, we’re committed to staying connected to the people who power our network. That means showing up wherever our community is. Whether it's global conferences, regional meetups, or local showcases, we want to meet as many of you as possible, share our mission, and inspire millions along the way.

Team Expansion: Building for Scale
As Wingbits continues its rapid growth trajectory, our team has evolved to match our ambitions. Q2 welcomed exceptional new talent across marketing, software development, and data engineering, reinforcing our commitment to delivering world-class experiences for our community.
Our journey from two co-founders in late 2023 to more than 20 dedicated professionals in 2025 represents more than just numerical growth – it reflects our evolution into a truly global and mission-oriented team. With team members spanning across Canada, United States, United Kingdom, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and Australia, we've built a distributed workforce that mirrors the decentralized nature of our platform.
Every team member is carefully selected not just for their expertise, but for their dedication to our community-first approach. We employ the best talent to ensure we can deliver exceptional value to a community – a community that consistently delivers for us.
Community Spotlight
Our community remains the driving force behind everything we accomplish. The creativity, dedication, and innovation we see from contributors worldwide continues to inspire and motivate our entire team. From sophisticated multi-antenna setups in urban environments to pioneering installations in remote locations, each contributor adds unique value to our global network.
The diversity of our community – spanning continents, cultures, and technical backgrounds – proves that the vision of decentralized infrastructure resonates universally. Every station deployment, every social media engagement, and every piece of feedback helps shape the future of flight tracking.

Looking Ahead: Preparing for Takeoff
Q2's growth sets the foundation for what lies ahead. The metrics are impressive, the partnerships are transformative, and the community momentum is undeniable. But we can assure you that what we've accomplished so far is just the beginning.
Q3 promises to deliver developments that will exceed every expectation and redefine what's possible in decentralized infrastructure. The runway is clear, the engines are at full thrust, and we're soon ready for mainnet takeoff.

Company
Wingbits is a DePIN (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network) that rewards community members with $WINGS tokens for monitoring aircraft in real-time using specialized ADS-B hardware. The network aligns incentives to compensate participants based on the quality and quantity of flight tracking data they contribute, creating a more equitable alternative to traditional tracking systems. By incentivizing strategic hardware placement and reliable uptime, Wingbits is building the world's largest and most secure flight tracking network while disrupting an industry that has relied on unpaid volunteers for decades.
